Today Vicki is at the 19th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament for the California Chapter of the WOMEN IN MINING(WIM) Education Foundation! This fantastic organization gives scholarship opportunities for young women and men looking to study and focus careers in to mining, geology, engineering or environmental studies. I love living in the SCV. I have watched the town evolve in to a sprawling and successful city full of amazing people. Nowadays I even have the pleasure of watching my former students own children attend my camps! Some of my greatest memories from over the years have been made during these camps and working at local schools in Santa Clarita. This article in the Signal, along with the great photos, truly highlights how the kids get charged up for good, old-fashioned, science.
