Earlier this week I had the most amazing time in the city of Palmdale visiting with a group of kindergartners! I always love how amazed they are by simple experiments. Thank you to the Chaparral Elementary School staff and volunteers for having me. I can't wait to come back soon.    Last year was phenomenal. I have been travelling all over meeting new scientists last year. I was so busy that the last few months barely gave me enough time to think about the new year and all of the great ideas I have for camps, shows, teacher trainings, and a little something extra I will be announcing soon! So far 2018 has been super busy. Last week, I was visiting one of my favorite spots over in Newhall , CA. The kids had so much fun. She will be on the island of Maui performing educational shows, providing in-class assemblies, and training local educators during professional development training from October 20, 2017 through November 3, 2017.

Science vocabulary can be fun and exciting. Hands-on learning really helps the kids to remember the meaning of the words. Today's lesson was chock full of new science words and the students had the opportunity to immediately touch and see what we were talking about.  Part of today's lesson involved creating a graph so that the kids could observe and track what was happening inside of the test tubes. We had a great time learning how to measure and track the progress. It always amazes me what knowledge the kids already have, and watch them light up when they see how that also applies to that days science lesson! These kids are great and it's always a blast at West Creek Academy. Thanks for having me!
